Poll: How much cash are you willing to splash?
To find out what people would pay for a new ShinyShiny handset from Jolla, please register your vote here regarding the upper limit you would be willing to pay, or for example if you would only consider the Jolla handset if it were available through an operator in your country of residence, select the last option.
I know it’s difficult when we still haven’t seen a solid product yet, but assume for arguments sake that the handset is all that you hope it to be and of course be realistic (you don’t want to go bankrupt!).

I’ll sell you a lovely corporate HQ building in Espoo for it…
I hope you mean ‘swap’!
trololol
Wait, your not THE ‘Mr Trololol’ are you?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1PBptSDIh8
I think it’s been two or three months that Mr. Trololol died. He found it quite amusing that the Internet folks liked the song and it also led him to sort of a comeback. R.I.P. Mr. Trololol!
If it is my absolute dreamphone (Linux, HW-Keyboard, available in N9 Cyan Blue color, enough storage space, CPU power and all), I’d say up to CHF 1000.– (about 1200 Euros).
Givan a modular version including detachable keyboard, gamepad, extra battery and speakers (each part dualing as reserve battery), Id be willing to splash out about 1000 € or so.
I support the ~200-300 EUR range, since I want Jolla to provide for the lower end market as well; Android cellphones for the lower end aren’t working as well as I had hoped (battery problems, space problems…android doesn’t really scale down well) and feature phones aren’t providing the feature set I require (S40/Bada isn’t cutting it)
I really hope Jolla has a plan for cellphones that target the lower range too; or else Firefox OS might undercut them!
u said a lot of options that a smartphone in 2012 must have!!!
UMTS, good CPU, 8Mpx, GPRS and HSPA, audio and video decoder, wifi, usb

- Thinner than my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic (no real difficulty here, it’s 15.5mm thick!)
- µSDHC card reader
- GSM/GPRS/EDGE 900 & 1800 (= France and generally everywhere but US)
- UMTS/HSPA+ 900(B8) & 2100(B1) (= pretty much the same)

- Touchscreen
- µ-USB 2.0

- Competiting (not necessarily better) processing power (both CPU & GPU) face-to-face with flagships

+ Dual-carrier HSDPA+ (42 Mb/s)
+ LTE 800(B20), 2600(B7) & 1800(B3) (the last one depends on frequency recycling)
+ WiFi 802.11a
+ Removable battery
+ USB 3.0
+ Bluetooth 4.0
+ Usable with gloves or stylus (normal gloves and “stylus” could be a pencil on the non-writing end)
+ Ogg-Vorbis up to maximum bitrate (then MP3 isn’t required anymore), FLAC
+ IP67 protection
+ Compass
+ Accelerometer
Nice to have :
+ µSDXC (it’s really just SDHC hardware + exFAT)
+ ext2/3/4/brtfs/whateverlinuxfs possible (screw exFAT & Microsoft, I just want the full memory card!)
+ USB host
+ Opus codec
+ NFC
+ Barometer
+ Physical keyboard
Gadgets, just for fun and probably useless :
+ 802.16e-2005 WiMax 3.5GHz
+ UMTS 1900(B33) TDD
Some of it might be obvious but since I want it so I say it.
PDADB is the right place to find http://pdadb.net/?m=pdamaster … nothing (yet?)

I would be willing to send $800 USD if it comes to the US!
me gustaría que para Sudamérica, vuelvan a lanzar lo que fué el Nokia N950. pero con cuerpo de policarbonato, aún habemos consumidores que nos sentimos mas cómodos con teclados físicos que con los touch.
